Ian,
After several years of part time rebuild my ‘73 GT550 hit the road this summer. It was resurrected in similar fashion. Engine from 3 paint pails, exploded starter clutch, cracked pistons, dead electrics, etc.
A couple small setbacks initially, but it seems pretty fair. I only got 1k miles on it, but no major disappointments so far.

You have several options depending on your location – eBay is the first one as carbs do appear often there for sale. Otherwise, if you are in the UK, I’d suggest contacting the Kettle Club, in Canada there is the CVMG and then there is the VJMC as well which has chapters in several countries. You can also try the Sundial board as members often can help out folks looking for specific hard to find parts. Information on these is available on my web site here .

i am looking for carburators for a 1976 suzuki 750 gt. Im dnt have any leads, and if i do find anything its just par components. I need all three of the carbs. Can you put me in the right direction?

‘Value’ is not an easy question to answer – it depends why you bought it, as well as and in addition to what condition it is in. A runner, in the USA, in very good original condition should be worth around USD $1000. In Canada the values are lower, and in the UK generally higher. The trick is being able to identify what ‘original’ condition looks like – anything this old that is running almost certainly will have been modified in some way.
